Here we go again

We may proudly announce that the Hamburg twesitval team will join the global twestival happening on march thursday 25th 2010. This year we`ll help to support @concern worldwide,

an international humanitarian organisation dedicated to reducing suffering and ending extreme poverty. Since the beginning, over 40 years ago, our focus has been on improving the lives of the poorest people.

Twestival in Hamburg is going to be real “local”
We‘ll celebrate at the elbwerk with a view over the Elbe and for Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli. And on top we are very glad to announce that DJ Elbe will be our Special Guest for the evening.

From Lounge Perls to Funk with Soul to House, at the beach, in clubs, in bars, at festivals and on boats. Fast or slow DJ ELBE always feels like home .

What is Viva con Agua?

Along with the air we breath water is the most elemental basis to life.
Water brings forth life, water is life. Water means healthy living, happy living. For Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli this fact is the fundamental motivation making us take action – to realise water projects around the earth, thus enabling people an access to clean drinking water.

In our opinion Viva con Agua is a perfect match for twestival local because

1. They are local but act and local global - this is Hamburg spirit as Hamburg is the gateway to the world
2. “Viva con Agua is simply original” check out the creative ideas how to raise money for water and you`ll know why
3. They have been as excited as we are from the moment we told them about the idea of twestival and they rock
4. They know what twitter is and even tweet Check out @vivaconagua

I (Vivian) had a kick-off meeting with them on tuesday and I took that opportunity for recording a small video in which Christian explains what they are going to do with the money we raise at twestival local.

twestival Hamburg is back

At the moment we`re really excited about all the good things that are coming.

We already have a confirmed local charity partner and will announce it next week with a nice little video intro

So stay tuned and if you want to help us to rock hamburg with twestival local on September 12th just give us a sign.

twestival hamburg attendees-list is now open

Twestival Hamburg will take place at the “Koppel 66” which is close to the central Station at “Lange Reihe 73″.

Please register in our network, choose the event “hamburg twestival” and klick on “Ich nehme teil”. Guests are welcome

We decided to collect the 5€ donation at the twestival, so that we are more flexible - but that changes nothing about the 100% for charity:water rule!

We`ll have beer and softdrinks for 2€ - 1€ of every sold drink is a donation.
In the little “Cafe Koppel” you can enjoy vegetarian meals.

On top we`ll have free Wifi, a tombola, music with DJ, a twitterwall and a livestream

We are looking forward to an awesome event in Hamburg!

We are proudly present our event network for all twestivals in Germany.

Why this network?

Due to the fact, that all recent barcamps had been organised with mixxt, we can reach many twitteratis at once using this network. Plus we can share ideas, organise the local events, share files and get to know each other before the twestival and share pictures and videos after.
And on top - we can integrate amiando, so that all twestivals in Germany can set up their events and the attendees list without problems.

The first orga meetup of hamburg twestival will take place on Thursday the 22th January, 19:00 at Berliner Betrüger .

We already found a small team but we are glad about everyone who likes to join and helps to make the hamburg twestival a success.
